Apurimac Valley

Canyon First day we will leave Cusco after breakfast with our vehicle to Lima Tambo for about 2 hours to arrive and then we will make a detour to Chonta another route for about 2 hours of climb here we will start making stops to observe birds as well as: Pale Tailed Canastero, White Eared Puffbird , Chestnut Breasted Muontain Finch, White Winged Black Tyrant, Black Billed Shrike Tyrant, Creamy Crested Spinetail, Peruvian Sierra Finch, Golden Grosbeak, Apurimac Pygmy OwlBlack Chested Buzzard Eagle and many other species we will see and then arrive at Comunidad Chonta and there we will have a Box lunch and after lunch we will have a 1 hour walk to get to Mirador de Condores and on the walk we will be able to appreciate Apurimac Brush Finch, Red Crested Cotinga, Tufted Tit Tyrant and others, then continue the walk until you reach the Mirador where we will wait for the departure of Condores to observe and photograph the largest bird, Sur Amarice. After this activity we will walk back to our car and return to Mollepata with two stops to observe Koepcke's Screech Owl, and then we will arrive at the hotel in Mollepata where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Second day after a breakfast again we will leave with our vehicle to Soray Pampa with many stops on the route where we will observe some endemic birds as well as: Creamy Crested Spinetail, Chestnut Breasted Mountain Fich, Apurimac, Spenitail, Apurimac Brush Finch, Rusty Fronted Canastero, Crinsom Mantled Woodpecker, Mountain Velvetbreast. And many others and then continue to Soray Pampa where we will have 2 endemic: Vilcabamba Tapaculo & White Tufted Sunbeam and others as well as: Tit like Dacnis, Plumbeous Sierra Finch, Ash Breasted Sierra Finch, D'orbigny's Chat Tyrant, Rufous Naped Ground Tyrant, Andean Lapwing and others and after this activity returns to Mollepata oars to the hotel where we will have lunch at the hotel and in the afternoon are another Pajareada in route. Near Mollepata. Where we can see some species as well as: Golden Billed Saltator, Rust and Yellow Tanager, Crested Becard and others and after birding we will return to the hotel for dinner and night at the hotel.

Huanipaca and Cusco. Today we will leave from the hotel very early towards Abancay route for approximately 2:30 minutes. We will travel from Mollepata to Huanipaca detour and there we will take the detour to Huanipaca which is a very good place for some species as well: apurimac tapaculo, apurimac brush finch, taczanowski tinamu, line fronted canastero, rusty fronted canastero, chestnut breasted mountain finch, apurimac spinetail, creamy crested spinetail and other species. After this bird watching we will return to Cusco for about 4 hours to get to the city of Cusco and there is the hotel where we will leave the pax and here the tour ends.
